Job summary
Emergency Management Program Officer
CSE is looking for people to support our Emergency Management Office by assisting with exercise planning, business continuity management, analysis and reporting, policy and procedures, client support, communications, education and awareness, and project management.
IM Governance and Compliance

- Client support: Provide IM advice and guidance to clients related to IM policy, procedures and initiatives

Policy, Planning, Analysis and Assessment
- The Strategic Policy and Planning Directorate at CSE is looking for someone to assist the Directorate with its main categories of activities, namely accountability and reporting, partnerships, government liaison, and helping CSE decision makers in making business planning decisions to implement policies and assess performance, in order to advance CSE’s operational missions. The student would work with the Strategic Policy and Planning Advisors to prepare authorization documents and policy briefs, conduct research, and participate in interdepartmental fora.
- The IT Security Policy, Oversight and Compliance group at CSE is looking for students to work in either the Operational Policy team or the Compliance team. The student would work with Policy and Compliance Advisors to help prepare policy and/or compliance documentation, conduct research and provide relevant policy analysis
- The IT Security Program Management and Oversight group at CSE is looking for someone to work in either the Business Planning team or the resource management team. The student would assist Business Planners and Resource Managers to conduct research and provide analysis to prepare various documents
- The Cyber Threat Evaluation Centre at CSE is looking for someone to write cyber threat assessments. The student would work with writers and technical personnel to conduct research provide analysis and help prepare assessments
Library and Information Studies
Under the direction of the supervisor of library services, the student may be involved in doing any of the following types of library research or access service activities:
- Providing client services person and virtually.
- Assisting clients in identifying and accessing information resources.
- Conducting research using various sources on behalf of clients.
- Identifying information resources for inclusion in the collection.
- Assisting other employees in research techniques individually or in a group setting.
- Conducting collection maintenance activities physically and electronically.
- Cataloguing according to internationally accepted standards and using Library of Congress subject headings.

Education
You must be registered as a full-time student in a recognized post-secondary program in a field related to the position, such as (but not limited to) business administration, library sciences, public administration, ethics, communications, or social sciences.
Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide a transcript from your most recent term. Students graduating prior to, or during, the work term are not eligible to apply.
