Job summary

Finance

CSE is looking for people to support our business management group by assisting with financial management, resource tracking, planning, financial operations, and accounting practices. CSE is looking for students who have the following skills:

  • Knowledge of accounting, financial planning and analysis, or financial systems.
  • Strong analytical ability (analysis of business requirements or financial information).

 

Procurement and Supply Chain Management

CSE is looking for students to support our provision of procurement and contract management services, which encompasses various areas at CSE. The Contracting and Procurement and IT Procurement teams at CSE are looking for students to assist, maintain and support client requests with its main categories of activities being:

  • Procurement, client engagement, interpretation of policies and guidelines in order to provide advice and guidance to clients, build and strengthen partnerships, and support to the management team.
  • Liaison and coordination in direct support of procurement officers preparing files, understand what information is required for seamless procurement processes, facilitate, and help prepare acquisition documents.
  • Remain current with regards to contracting and procurement regulations, central agency policies, and overall government procedures regarding contracts.
  • Knowledge to apply fundamental concepts, principals, and skills within supply management in a public service business setting.
  • Strong analytical ability (analyze and propose solutions in a variety of situations).
  • Ability to provide strategic support for acquisition and material.
  • Knowledge of accounting, and financial systems is an asset.
  • Knowledge in policy in the Government of Canada setting is an asset.

Location

The majority of our jobs are in Ottawa, Ontario. CSE has two accessible facilities. Flexible work arrangements, including telework for a portion of the work week, may be possible.

A valid Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS) or an Enhanced Top Secret (ETS) security clearance is a condition of employment that must be met before an offer can be made.

Education

You must be registered as a full-time student in a recognized post-secondary program in a field related to the position, such as (but not limited to) business administration, finance, or social sciences.

 

Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide a transcript from your most recent term. Students graduating prior to, or during, the work term are not eligible to apply.
