Job summary

 

Business Analyst

 

The Business Analyst role comprises many different responsibilities at CSE. The Business Analyst will continuously build and maintain collaborative relationships within CSE’s program management community as well as other government stakeholders, and depending on the organizational role of the hiring team, may be responsible for (but not limited to):

-        Interpreting and applying project management methodologies, best practices and templates to CSE’s project management community;

-        Building and leveraging international partnerships to help evolve and grow CSE’s mission with foreign partners, advance Government of Canada intelligence priorities globally, support CSE’s foreign deployed personnel or deliver professional event management services for CSE;

-        Engaging and collaborating directly with Canadian clients and/or key partners to provide exceptional cyber security services;

-        Identifying business requirements and optimal solutions, collaborating with colleagues, internal and external stakeholders, and being aware of emerging trends to support learning and development opportunities for employees, ensure compliance with Official Language requirements, and help CSE become a leader in the area of employment Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives;

-         Supporting the management of corporate and administrative information by providing advice and guidance to staff on Information Management practices, analyzing business processes, managing the information lifecycle for electronic and physical records, supporting CSE’s Open Government initiative, developing and maintaining the library collection and providing library reference services;

-        Handling the collection, redaction and unclassified summarization of any documents requiring legal proceedings, legal risk assessments and management of files, advises and trains the entire organization on privacy, and develops the privacy protection measures; and

-        Developing compliant and engaging cyber security learning solutions, such as online courses and multimedia elements, identifying emerging learning technology trends, providing recommendation on new approaches and tools to support the development and delivery of all virtual learning solutions.

Location

The majority of our jobs are in Ottawa, Ontario. CSE has two accessible facilities. Flexible work arrangements, including telework for a portion of the work week, may be possible.

A valid Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS) or an Enhanced Top Secret (ETS) security clearance is a condition of employment that must be met before an offer can be made.

Education

You must be registered as a full-time student in a recognized post-secondary program in a field related to the position, such as (but not limited to) commerce, business administration, public administration, or social sciences.

 

Note: The educational program must be recognized in Canada, and you must be able to provide a transcript from your most recent term. Students graduating prior to, or during, the work term are not eligible to apply.
